Case No. EC028192. Plaintiff fell four feet from a loading dock onto his left hand. He fractured two fingers on his non-dominant hand, a slight concussion and 5 to 7 weeks of soft-tissue back injury. His medical bills were $4,299.00 and the jury found he lost no future earnings prior to verdict. Plaintiff offered to accept $40,000 and defense offered $35,000. The jury verdict was $250,000. This case was tried in Glendale, one of the most difficult areas in Southern California to obtain a favorable Plaintiff verdict.

Plaintiff, a young man, was riding his Suzuki motorcycle through a three-way intersection when the defendant failed to yeild, turning left directly in the Plaintiff's path. Plaintiff was thrown from his motorcycle, fracturing bothis arm and leg. Defense offered $40,000.00 prior to trial but Plaintiff declined. After trila in Riverside County had already begun and a jury selected, defense offered $75,000.00. Plaintiff again declined. The case was settled after the first day for $149,000.00.

Case No. LC052539. This trial arose from a single car accident where Plaintiff was a passenger in a car hitting a power pole. Plaintiff suffered three broken ribs, minor post-concussive syndrome and soft-tissue neck and back injuries. Just before the jury verdict, the defense offered $60,000 (up from $30,000 offered before the trial) and Plaintiff would have accepted $80,000. The jury gave a verdict of $128,000.
