This case arose out of a two car collision on Sunset Blvd. in West Los Angeles. Defendant, the now deceased singer known as Aaliyah, was driving next to the Plaintiff when she made a suddenly u-turn. The impact cased all the airbags in Plaintiff's vehicle to deploy. Plaintiff suffered an injury to her back which resulted in a spinal fusion. The case went to trial and jury awarded Plaintiff $300,000.00.
