Christianson v. Staerker & Oracle et al, Los Angeles: Settled Prior to Trial: Settlement Amount Confidential

This wrongful death case arose out of a collision caused by Defendant, an employee of Oracle Corporation. The Plaintiff was making a left turn when the Defendant, having a blood alcohol level of .16, sped through a yellow light going approximately 50 miles per an hour. The Plaintiff was killed and the driver seriously injured. After several round of negotiations, and winning a summary judgment on the legal issues involved, the Plaintiff's estate settled for a confidential sum of money that was then placed in annuities to be managed by an outside firm.
